Two months until summer, progress report and stuff

Professional blog writing 101: do not use the phrase “and stuff” in your post title.

So I just realised it’s already October (can you believe it?) which means we’re one month into the Spring already (can you believe it?) and therefore there’s only two months left before the start of Summer. So with that in mind I’m going to be reminding everyone it is definitely high time to start knuckling down and getting your bikini / board shorts body into shape in time for pool season. If you haven’t started already, now is the time! The clock is ticking, you guys and girls!

So this is where I have to give myself a bit of a pat on the back because I must say I’ve been quite good at sticking with my diet 2000 calorie nutrition plan, and so far it is working nicely. I’ve maintained over all weight and as previously mentioned I’m training for increased strength at the moment, but I’m looking a lot more trim around the waist which has been my goal. If I can continue with this rate of progress (which of course I plan to actually increase the rate of progress) for the next two months I think this mission will be a resounding success.

I’ve already gone over my training plans in previous entries so there’s not much point in repeating those, although I will be honest and say I need to improve my consistency in the extra stuff I’ve added in for cardio and fat burning. The weather is starting to look really nice quite often though so there is really no excuse to not get out in the sun and get stuck into the bodyweight resistance and interval training. So I’m going to be stepping that up and especially doing some (more) abdominal work.

This is exciting stuff, don’t you think? I was saying to my friend today; you only get one life, if you don’t get excited about it you are wasting it.
