so week one of the new program is now completed. A lot of this week kinda blew goats because I came down with a bit of a throat bug that’s been going around and was really low on energy for a few days there. So I missed training on monday and tuesday (after missing the weekend due to work already) and didn’t get to start the new program until wednesday.
Once i managed to start though, training went pretty good. I think week 2 will be a bit better as my strength returns and i get a bit more used to some of the new exercises. I’m confident I’ll get some results anyway.
So on Saturday i went out to the DFO to find new clothes for summer. Last time i went clothes shopping (for my cargo pants i train in on colder days) I was irritated at not being able to find any small enough around the waist. It’s crazy. When i was younger they had these “big and tall” shops for large people to get their clothes… now it seems to be the other way around, and if you’re in a healthy weight range everything is too big!
Anyway this time i had better luck and managed to get 2 pairs of shorts + 2 tank tops that i like. Exactly what i had in mind, in fact. And best of all I’m down one waist size from the shorts i bought at the end of last summer.
Also I weighed in today and I’m down to 71 kilograms which is the lightest i’ve been in a while, although i am looking bigger in the chest arms and shoulders. So, the weight has all come off my waist which is what I wanted. It’ll be interesting to measure up at the end of this 6 weeks and compare weight and measurements.
Now the most exciting new development is that we’re starting up a cardio kickboxing group on thursday nights which is going to be good fun and finally get my cardiovascular fitness up to scratch. I’ve wanted to get this happening again for a while now, and since we’re getting some good weather and daylight savings is on, now is a good time.
That is all for now.
