So on Monday night I trained chest. I hadn’t trained on Sunday, worked all day monday and then off to gym at about 830.
It was a pretty awesome workout. I stated with cable cross overs and managed to go a little heavier than previously. Next up was hammerstrength bench press and i was determined to lift at least 125 kilos.
I tried for 130 to start with but couldn’t budge it. Ok, that was a bit optimistic. So i drop the weight down to 125 and pump out 2 reps. Pretty happy with that!
So next i want to try for 3 reps at 122.5 kilo. Nope, can’t move it! So i come down to 120 kilo and NOPE, still can’t move it. At this point i just got PISSED OFF and realised what i was missing. SO i went back to the locker room and found my mp3 player and started with some Blaze Bayley, and started pacing up and down like a caged animal trying to fire myself up.
SO with Blaze in my ears i went back and tried again at 120 kilos. FOUR REPS! Epic win.
From there on the workout was of the charts for awesomeness and intensity.
So the next day was a public holiday and i did not train. Also i somehow tweaked a muscle in my upper back, so that takes back and shoulders training off the agenda for now. So yesterday i was thinking i could train legs, although i did train legs pretty recently already. Suddenly i realised if i was gonna train anything twice in quick succession, it was gonna be chest like i have been talking about for a while now.
So, last night I went back in and did chest all over again.
