Towards the right of you’re screen you can see the photographic evidence of quite an amazing body transformation of a nice young lady who is following my DHPT Coaching Via Email program. You might have also seen her photos used to promote some other weight loss programs, but don’t get tricked by those crooks (Ashy Bines and Fat Loss Factor I am looking at you)… she’s doing my program and you can go ask her about it yourself via my facebook page.

The results speak for themselves, but I’d be lying if I tried to take all of the credit. The truth is that the “before” shot was taken quite a few months before starting on my program, and she’d already been very successful just by eating sensibly and doing some weight training and a little cardio. I came into the picture at a stage where a more structured training program (and also my custom macronutrition recommendations) were required to help take her transformation a step further. Really we are just fine tuning at this stage because she looks amazing already.

So what makes a person who has already been very successful on their own decide to sign up for my program, rather than any of the other millions of programs available online or elsewhere? Well… let’s have a look at what you might read about some other program that you’re thinking about signing up for:

  • You need to follow our strict diet, and never eat these “bad” foods.
  • You should only eat at these times of the day, and never eat these things after this time.
  • You need to fast every few days to burn fat for energy.
  • Never eat bread, bread has carbs and carbs make you fat.
  • Fruit has too much sugar, don’t eat more than once piece of fruit per day.
  • You need to take this weight loss pill or other supplement, to boost metabolism and burn more calories.
  • This is the only way you can lose weight nothing else works.

I thought I was going to have more examples but really the “never eat these bad foods” thing covers most of it. Starvation diets, fad diets, “clean eating” and so on. These are all things that the average unsuccessful dieter might believe are necessary, but actually are not. When people who don’t know any better find a weight loss program advertised with one of these messages, the idea is that it is in line with what they already believe. So the response is “oh, that’s what I thought. This is what I’ve been looking for”.

As long as their program actually works and does so through healthy means it isn’t really the end of the world, apart from the whole “nothing else works this is what needs to be done” angle that usually applies. That’s dishonest, and for that matter promoting eating disorder mentalities by telling people things like “fruit has too much sugar” is clearly not ethical or healthy.

Now on the other hand, if you’re someone who has already been quite successful just from using your common sense, enjoying a variety of foods in moderation and exercising regularly, what are you to think when you look into a program and the marketing people tell you “all this stuff is necessary, you cannot lose weight unless you do all of it, in this order”? You already know that isn’t true, because you’ve done it already! You’re going to think “well, either this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, or he’s just full of shit!” And you’d be quite correct as well!

My message on the other hand is quite the opposite; nothing terribly special or complicated is really required to lose weight and get into shape. You just need to eat about the right amount more often than not, and hit the gym for about an hour most days. Of course, you’ll get much better results when you have a good idea of what “the right amount” actually is, and when you train methodically in accordance with a structured program such as mine.

The message is getting out, and as a result I have become quite successful in attracting the sort of clients who know there are no “tricks”, quick fixes or magical solutions… they know they have to eat right (without stressing out about it too much) and put in a solid effort hitting the weights for about an hour a day, most days.

And as you can see for yourself, the results are fantastic.
