Well the site is really only 2 days old, but it’s Friday so here is my end of the week update for those who are already checking this out.
Training has been great this week. I’m doing a two day split program at the moment which means I get to hit all the major muscle groups at least twice a week. Today I’m hitting chest, triceps and shoulders for the third time since Sunday. This isn’t how I usually like to train but after doing 5 day splits for soooo long I wanted to try something different to shock things up. I think it’s really worked for me and I’ll probably continue with it, alternating between say 6 weeks of a 5 day split and then 6 weeks of a 2 day split.
So I have one week left on this program and then I have plans for a new program which I’m going to use to make some strength gains over the next couple of months. I’m going to do some pyramid sets and some other things that I haven’t really utilised in the past. I’m also doing some boxing training in the evenings on my floor to ceiling ball, although I must confess that I’ve slacked off on that a little this week due to the hot hot weather. I’m hoping for some more mild conditions ahead and I’ll be working hard at the cardio side of things as well as hitting the weights like I always do.
Aside from that I have been spending a lot of time here working on the website and trying to get it to look the way I want it to. Unfortunately my web design skills are not really up to date, so I am finding it a little harder than I had expected. I really feel strongly about the site needing a personal touch and not just being another cookie-cutter web design that looks the same as everything else. After all it is a PERSONAL training website, and the emphasis has got to be on the personal side!
