so today was arms day and once again i struggled a bit to get through it. Now, last week i put it down to having a bit of a cold. This week, well I hadn’t had all that much sleep or food after my nightshift, so that might play a part in it.
I was thinking about it though and i do 4 sets of bicep exercises, and 4 sets of triceps exercises. Most of it supersetted, and most of it for 4 sets each exercise. It’s a LOT.
The other factor is that i have gotten pretty good at using good technique to really fatigue the arms quickly from the first couple of sets. Well, I’m due for a new program after next week anyway… so I will consider just doing 3 exercises for each. I also plan on focussing on my forearms a bit more as well, so I have a bit to think about when I write the next program.
Anyway regardless of all that, it was a damn good workout and my arms feel HARD and PUMPED.
While on nightshift last night and tonight i’ve been doing some good climbs up about 42 flights of stairs. This is actually what I get paid to do, haha! This should be good for burning about 200 odd calories, by my best guess. I keep saying I’m going to start doing more continuous/fat burning exercise but i never seem to stick to it for long, so it’s good that I at least have to do these stair climbs on my patrols.
Tomorrow is extra chest day. This time i will get a good sleep in, cereal for breakfast, fruit and then probably french toast for lunch at about 4:30 and train at about 7pm.
Now the other news is that i’m progressing nicely with my personal training course, and about to try to line up my practical placement at a gym, to get more experience assisting someone who’s already qualified as a PT.
