Better programming + better nutrition = better results

Better programming + better nutrition = better results

I want to brag a little bit here because I’ve just set a new personal best at the bench press. More importantly though I have clients also setting new personal bests on a variety of exercises almost every day. Every week, at the very least.

So for me personally I’ve achieved a milestone in finally being able to bench press two plates (100kg total weight) for 6 reps. For my size and weight, that’s a reasonable lift and it’s taken me rather a long time to get there. Or rather I should say, I’ve gotten there quite quickly since developing my Progressive Power and Next Level training programs this year, after really not increasing my lifts by much for quite a long time before that.

Similarly I have clients who’ve increased their best bench press by up to 200% in a relatively short period of time using these programs. Of course, someone new to training should expect much quicker gains in strength and performance in general, and these advances will become slower over time.

Regardless of being new to training or quite experienced, the best results will always come from better nutrition and better training programs. So having been a personal trainer for a few years now I’m always thinking about how to design programs that will achieve the best possible results, and as they say… the proof is in the pudding!

Or as I’ve said in the past, my methods get results!
